Kestori Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Kestori (the "App"), a Shopify app published by Forethought Studio (the "Operator"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. The service

Kestori reads product, inventory, and (where permitted by Shopify scopes) order data from your Shopify store, computes a daily low-stock digest, and sends it by email to the recipients you configure. The App also exposes an embedded dashboard inside the Shopify admin for configuration and review.

2. Subscription, trial, and billing

Plan: $29.00 USD per month, billed through Shopify's managed billing on a 30-day recurring cycle.
Free trial: a 30-day free trial starts when you approve the subscription on Shopify's confirmation page. You will not be charged during the trial. If the App is uninstalled before the trial ends, the trial is cancelled and no charge is made.
Money-back window: if you cancel the subscription within 30 days of the first paid charge (i.e. within the first 30 days after the trial ends), the Operator will refund the most recent monthly charge in full. Refund requests must be sent to [email protected] within that 30-day window. Refunds for charges older than the most recent month are not offered.
Currency, taxes, fees: Shopify processes the charge in USD and may add applicable taxes or transaction fees. The Operator does not control or receive those amounts.
Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the App's billing page or by uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle; the App remains usable through the end of the paid period (the App may pause the digest after the trial ends if billing is not active).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App to interfere with Shopify's API rate limits or terms of service.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or stored data from the App except via the data-export request described in the Privacy Policy.
Use the App on a store you do not own or are not authorized to manage.

4. Forecast disclaimer (important)

Kestori produces a directional forecast based on recent sales velocity, configured lead time, and a safety buffer. The forecast is a planning aid, not a guarantee.

Demand can change because of promotions, seasonality, holidays, weather, supplier delays, competitive moves, viral events, or other factors Kestori does not observe.
A reorder suggestion is a suggestion. You are responsible for placing actual purchase orders, choosing suppliers, agreeing to terms, and accepting the financial consequences.
The Operator does not warrant that following Kestori's suggestions will prevent stockouts, avoid overstock, or produce any specific business outcome.

Review every suggestion against your own knowledge of the business before ordering.

5. Service availability

The Operator targets high uptime but does not guarantee 100% availability. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Shopify API, AWS SES, Hetzner), or unforeseen incidents may temporarily prevent the digest from sending or the dashboard from loading. Missed digests during an outage will not generally be re-sent; the next scheduled send will resume.

If the App is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during a paid period, contact [email protected] to discuss a pro-rated credit.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The Operator's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the App is limited to the total amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or stock-out losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

These limits do not exclude liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. gross negligence, willful misconduct, or consumer rights under Finnish law).

7. Data, privacy, and uninstall

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy at https://kestori.com/privacy. On uninstall, Kestori deletes your store's data per the schedule described there.

8. Changes to these Terms

The Operator may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the embedded dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
